Purpose :

This role is required to manage the Terminal QA Team to execute and deliver quality testing procedures and competence to work in a marine container handling terminal for live operations. The Senior QA Engineer will be responsible to manage the execution of the test procedures under the scope of the Quality and Assurance team, mainly to, test equipment as a standalone and integrated within the terminal operational and testing environments, test automation functionalities, integrated IT functionalities, TOS, GOS, M2M, ECS and other terminal systems to ensure smooth integration of new functionalities, bug fixes and improvements to the operational environment.

Key Responsibilities : 


Ensure coordination of all testing activities are aligned with Safety standards and procedures.

Ensure full adherence to the existent QA processes and procedures.

Ensure that configured and commissioned IT systems, Interfaces, automation control systems meet specified requirements per scope of supply and operational procedures set forth in the established test procedure and agreements.

Support QA testing/simulation/emulation for terminal operations, working closely in association with Automation/Interface, M&R, IT and Operations teams and, where needed, supplier representatives.

Ensure test output meets the intended operational function before rolling out to production.

Coordination of handling documentation of testing scenarios and all corrective actions as part of defect managing processes.

Suggest, review, and perform corrective action plans to address systemic issues within the terminal organization.

Managing the QA Team and foster for quality end deliverables.

Stakeholder management with the different actors from terminal, region and global functions.

Ensure continuous improvement to enhance the QA related processes.


Principal Accountabilities : 


Follow the company’s safety system and report any unsafe acts, alert to risks and unsafe acts that could result in an accident.

Coordination of execution of test cases according to the requests from different stakeholders.

Coordination on the follow-up on the defect management processes to ensure the closure of all open defects.

Engage with terminal stakeholders for successful execution of tests and rollout-out to production.

Ensure all documentation is up to date and according all existent procedures.

All activities are aligned with company Ways of Work.
 



Who we are looking for?


Engineering degree in Systems, Automation Engineering, Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field (equivalent education and work experience may be substituted).

Must have good knowledge of Equipment Interface, Automation, Equipment and IT Systems.

Conversant with test methodology for Quality Control and ISO specifications.

Experience in test procedures for PLC and SCADA based systems.

Familiarity with port equipment/systems/processes or moving machinery is a plus. Knowledge in simulation and emulation platforms and related output documentation is a plus as well.

Ability to communicate and express ideas with suppliers, vendors and external contractors.

Ability to work with a range of cultures and geographically distributed teams.

Organized, detailed, disciplined.
